Working on a Saturday
Nursing a hang over with America’s favorite diaretic

I’m here at work doing some urgent stuff for Israel, and on the Sabbath no less. I thought the Jews were supposed to care about that kind of thing. There’s something liberating about working on a weekend. It still really sucks, but since you’re going above and beyond the call of duty and hardly anyone is in the office you can do what ever you want. I’m sitting here waiting for some code to compile, blasting Incubus as loud as my little computer speakers will go, and giving some serious thought to streaking the security guard.

Coffee is both good and bad when nursing a hangover. As a stimulant good, as a diaretic bad.

A new look for a thin Benny

Ok, thin might be overstating it, but I thought that since I look different my blog should look different. Since I started losing weight in July I’ve lost a little over 40 lbs. Hurray for me! I feel a lot better, I have more energy and I no longer have enough fat on my face to make another baby Jack! So why did I choose to model my site after Grant’s? Because I liked the look of it and I’m way too lazy to come up with my own design. It probably would have been easier though. Trying to adapt Grant's look and feel took me most of the day. As you guessed it’s been a really busy day at work today.

I’m back and duller than ever!

I know it’s been a long time and I said I would be better about writing, well I’m a damn liar! You’ll have to learn to live with it. You’ll notice there are no pictures on my page anymore and the Gallery page is gone, well the site that was hosting my pictures decided not to let outside servers request pictures. So until I can host the pictures from home via a DSL line, Confessions of a Hobbit will be sans pictures. The good news is my DSL line should be installed in about a month.

To catch everyone up, my surgery went very well. I recovered very quickly and am all healthy now. I have some cool pictures of my insides I’ll post once I get my DSL line installed. The Spec is not dead, it was just injured and is up and running again after I got the clutch replaced. I did buy Ron’s motorcycle and am enjoying it a lot now that the weather has gotten better. I’ll post some pics of that too. In more recent and strange news I’m getting braces again on the 3rd of May. I only have to keep them on for 6 months, so it’s not going to be too bad. I’ll be a goofy looking 26-year-old for a while though. I had braces for 6 years through jr. high and high school. But because I ripped my permanent retainer out with a pair of pliers a few years ago my teeth have moved a little. So 6 months of braces and my little gaps will be closed. I’ll think a little more next time I’m tempted to take pliers to my teeth. I’m starting school again next month! I signed up for a few classes at Lakeland College. I also finally moved a few months ago to Menlo Park. I think I had long outstayed my welcome at the Hoffmans. Benjamin Franklin once said fish and houseguests go bad after 3 days. I was there for 9 months, I'm pretty sure I was beginning to out smell the fish. The Hoffmans were great though and I really appreciate them letting me stay there. I kind of miss it. It was like being part of a huge family, which was a new experience for me. I don’t miss the commute to work though. My commute is now a very comfortable mile. I really like my new place and my roommates are great. I’ll post some pics of the place when I can. And the best news from the past few months, Taylor and Theresa had their baby!!!!!! Little baby Jack. I know most of you reading this already know that, but there it is anyway.

That pretty much covers the main events in my life over the last few months. I’m really going to try and be better about posting. Mostly so people will shut the hell up and stop telling me to post something. I’ll be a little funnier next time too, this one was a little dry.
